SinIRC Acceptable User Policy. (AUP)

By connecting to any of SinIRC's IRC servers, or web server, you agree to and are bound to the provisions of this document.

You are also bound to the rules set in the MOTD (Message Of The Day) of the server you connect to (/motd). If the MOTD contradicts the AUP, the AUP automatically overrides the MOTD, and the contradiction should be reported to admin@sinirc.net.

RULES

You cannot abuse SinIRC resources. This includes but not limited to: denial of service attacks, mass messaging, mass inviting, channel or private message spam, clone or bot flooding, ban evasion, and gaining unauthorized access to any machine that runs a SinIRC service. Any action which may effect services rendered by SinIRC can and will be punishable.

You may not have more then three connections on the network per IP or hostname. If you must have more then three connections on the network, you can request to have your connection allowance set to a higher limit by one of the network staff members.

Unsolicited advertising of products, services, personal channels, websites, or other networks is prohibited on SinIRC. Mass advertising on multiple channels of other channels or networks will result in a ban from the network. Mass advertising on other networks on behalf of SinIRC or any SinIRC related channel is likewise prohibited. Unsolicited advertising for SinIRC on other networks may result in your channel(s) or accounts being suspended or other appropriate disciplinary action at the discretion of SinIRC staff.

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

By violating the AUP or any rules set in the MOTD you are liable for punishment from SinIRC staff, and may have your SinIRC privilages revoked, which can include resources on SinIRC servers, SinIRC IRC Services, and other SinIRC provided services.

If you evade restrictions placed on your connection by SinIRC, we reserve the right to ban your ISP (Internet Service Provider), which will prevent all users from your ISP from using SinIRC services. SinIRC also reserves the right to cooperate with your ISP to take further action if necessary.

SinIRC will cooperate with any legally recognized law enforcement in the event that any crime is commited on the network, either civil or criminal. If in the event law enforcement cooperation is needed, please contact admin@sinirc.net.

To place an appeal on restrictions set on your connection you can email admin@sinirc.net. When you email, stat your case clearly. In the event that you were restricted because of a violation of a rule in the AUP or MOTD, you must demonstrate your understanding of the rules that you broke, and must convince the SinIRC staff that you will not break those rules, or any rules, again.

DISCLAIMER

By connecting to any SinIRC servers, you agree not to bring any legal action against SinIRC Administrators, Operators, or any other users on the SinIRC IRC network.

SinIRC staff members reserve the right to interpret this Acceptable Use Policy in the event there is any judgement calls to be made pretaining to a situation or event which may not be spelled out completely in this document.

SinIRC does not monitor content for any reason. By connecting to SinIRC, you accept that some content may be considered offensive or inappropriate and SinIRC cannot be held legally responsible for any emotional or psychological damage you may incur by being on the network.

If you are concerned by a violation of law propagated by someone on our network, contact the authorities in the region the law is being violated; we do not police content.

SinIRC reserves the right to deny use of or access to any resource ir provides, including but not limited to restricted (to) access to the SinIRC IRC network, its website or its channel and IRC Operators services. File sharing channels are prohibited from registering with SinIRC channel services; SinIRC passes no ethical judgment on file sharing, but we do not condone use of our resources as a proxy service purely for trading. There are other ways to do those activities, and we strongly urge that users consider these alternatives. Torrent channels are not prohibited however because torrent channels are for the discussion of the torrent site or torrent files, not for distrubution of files over SinIRC.
